To subvert the season, I’d need two things: biting criticism and ooey-gooey nostalgia.

Enter John Carpenter’s 1988 classic film “They Live” and the beloved 1964 TV special “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

After crafting an economical design, I passed it off to the folks at the Sunday Co. Besides having incredibly high standards and ethical processes, they just make really killer pins. A year later, the concept was retooled into a shirt.
